World Alzheimer’s Month
As September is recognized across the globe as World Alzheimer’s Month, raising awareness internationally for dementia condoned a strong impact resulting in great campaign success. Also incorporate #WAM2016 #RememberMe into your search engine if you require more information.
On September 21, 2016, SafeTracks GPS made a special visit to our local Alzheimer’s Society (Red Deer, AB). Not to mention, acknowledging their accomplishments, dedication and remarkable events they hosted raising awareness in Alzheimer’s prevention.
SafeTracks also showed off their support and commitment for World Alzheimer’s Month by reaching out to communities locally and globally. Posting useful and powerful information via social media platforms is so important to keep followers involved. (Facebook,Twitter,Instagram,Linked In and Pinterest.)
In the light of this campaign, we would like to extend a huge thank you to those who took time of our their busy schedule and tweeted, shared, liked and pinned concerning World Alzheimer’s Month; stretching awareness for such an important cause. Look around, someone close to you will be diagnosed. “There are an estimated 46.8 million people worldwide living with dementia in 2015. This number will almost double every 20 years, reaching 74.7 million in 2030 and 131.5 million in 2050.” The rate of seniors diagnosed with dementia each year is expanding exponentially. Ultimately, it is up to us to ensure we keep this campaign alive year round! Don’t be shy! Help out a senior in your community today, it’s the little things we do that go a long way!
