Some participants may be released with a court order, release order, bail order, or supervision document that outlines the conditions they are required to follow while wearing the GPS ankle bracelet.
Where applicable, the SafeTracks monitoring arrangement may be structured around the approved program documents and the conditions outlined in the participant’s court order, release order, bail order, or supervision document.
SafeTracks approval into the Private Rental Program does not guarantee that a judge, court, or release authority will approve the participant’s release or monitoring arrangement.
Once the ankle monitor is installed and activated, SafeTracks configures the monitoring arrangement according to the court order or approved release conditions.
Depending on the requirements of the file, monitoring may include residence schedules, curfews, inclusion or exclusion zones, GPS location information, device-status alerts and tamper detection. These tools help provide greater structure, accountability and documented oversight throughout the monitoring period.
SafeTracks uses established monitoring procedures to review and respond to device alerts, location events and potential violations during the monitoring period.
Responses are guided by the court order, approved release conditions and the monitoring arrangement established for the file. Depending on the nature of the alert, SafeTracks may review available information, contact the participant or designated parties, document the event and follow the applicable notification or escalation procedure.
SafeTracks does not publish detailed internal response protocols. This helps protect the integrity of the monitoring program while ensuring that each file is handled consistently, responsibly and with appropriate attention to public safety.
